Accreditation

Support

The journey to accreditation continues after the review stage is complete.

Within 30 working days of receipt of the review report, schools are required to take action to meet the recommendations and provide the requested documentary evidence outlined in the report. This information is then reviewed by the ISTAS team before being forwarded to the Accreditation Panel for a decision to award accreditation.

The panel's primary function is to thoroughly examine the documentation submitted to definitively confirm that all the framework standards have been met. The decision as to whether or not to award accreditation is made at this point.

ISTAS places significant emphasis on impartiality, competence, and consistency and the decision-making process is designed to be:

  • Objective: Free from bias and undue influence

  • Evidence-based: Relies on factual information gathered during the review

  • Competent: Made by ISTAS approved and authorised individuals

  • Consistent: Applied uniformly across all schools

  • Transparent (internally): Documented and auditable

This rigorous approach ensures credibility and reliability. Accreditation is valid for two years after the date the award is made.

Safety First

When children feel safe, their overall wellbeing is enhanced, reducing anxiety and promoting a positive school experience.

Strategic Value

By elevating transport to a strategic priority, ISTAS delivers a demonstrable, long-term return on investment.

Partnering with ISTAS is a clear demonstration that a school prioritises excellence extending its duty of care far beyond the classroom.
